Have You Ever Thought To Yourself, “Something is Missing?

Have You Ever Had The Feeling That Something Is… Off?

Maybe you’re sitting in an evangelical church wondering if this is really how Christians worshipped 2,000 years ago.

Maybe you’re a lifelong Catholic who loves the Church but can’t shake a growing unease over the direction things are heading.

Maybe you’ve walked away from faith entirely… but something keeps pulling at you. A quiet hunger you can’t name and can’t seem to fill.

Three very different people.

One shared feeling.

Something is missing.

Something ancient. Something stable. Something that doesn’t change with the culture, the politics, or the latest trends in ministry.

Something where God is simply… present.

That feeling isn’t an accident.

It’s a calling.

For centuries, the Orthodox Christian Church has remained exactly what it was at its founding. Unchanged. Unmoved. Unapologetically rooted in the faith handed down by the Apostles themselves.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:15, “Stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught.”

That’s not an invitation to reinvent the faith every decade.

That’s a command to hold on to what was given to us.

And for so many people… that’s exactly what they’ve been searching for without even knowing it.

If this is you, and you want to learn about a different way of experiencing and knowing our Lord Jesus Christ is a community dedicated to Him and one another, I invite you to have a cup of coffee with me at the local Starbucks.

I’m Father Don Purdum, and I’m opening an American Orthodox Church right here in Mt. Joy, PA.

I want to invite you to something simple.

Let’s sit together over a cup of coffee. Share your story, experience, and what you need in your faith.

No pressure. No performance. Just a cup of coffee, an honest conversation, and a chance to ask every question you’ve been carrying around.

Maybe you’re coming from a church that stopped making sense to you.

Maybe you walked away from faith altogether and something is pulling you back.

Maybe you’ve never set foot in an Orthodox Church and you’re curious what it even is.

This is your open door.

Come as you are. Bring your doubts. Bring your questions. Bring your hunger.

I believe with everything in me that what you’ve been searching for has been here all along — waiting for you.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” — Matthew 7:7

The door is open.

Come knock.

Select a date and time below that works best for you and let’s have a cup of coffee (or whatever your favorite beverage is) and good conversation.

Grace and Peace,

Father Don
